Splendid fish, typical of the barrier coralline, pertaining to the family of the Scorpenidi, present in the Indian ocean and the Pacific ocean; much colorful, sturdy, relatively sociable one, adapted to the cohabitation with nearly all the other fish of barrier, purch of large ransom, and with its similar.
 
Extremely similar to the P. Volitans, if of it it distinguishes for the absence of the long carnose escrescenze over the eyes and for some other imperceptible differences.
